INTRODUCTION
The International Conference on Civil and Environmental Engineering Sustainability (IConCEES 2011) with the theme "Civil and Environmental Engineering for Sustainability: A Better Natural and Built Environment" will be held on 3 to 5 April 2012. The conference is organized by the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) to show that the University shows great interest in development activities concerning civil and built environment engineering without causing adverse effects to the natural environment.
This conference is held mainly to improve the quality of research generally based on idea sharing. This would also help the university to improve the quality of teaching and learning within this institute based on the concept of sustainable development that is developed through the researches. In addition, this would be the perfect opportunity for the university to enlighten the lecturers and students on the challenges and opportunities of sustainable development within the Civil and Environmental Engineering field. As such, for those interested in participating, the secretariat would be delighted to accept their abstract complete with technical papers for consideration.
